Comparison Prevention

Making it intentionally difficult for users to compare prices or features of similar items or subscription tiers.

What Is Comparison Prevention?

Comparison Prevention obfuscates necessary data to make an informed choice. Services might use different units of measurement, hide feature matrices behind expanding accordions, or simply refuse to show a side-by-side comparison.

The goal is to confuse the user into selecting the higher-priced tier simply because they cannot confidently verify if the cheaper tier meets their needs.
